  2. Spring Time at Bookshelf Wines

    We hope you are healthy and beginning to enjoy our nice, sunny weather. We are well and getting out to the vineyard!

    May Update:  The vines are growing like crazy and looking healthy.  They are thriving in the sunshine and loved the recent rains.  In addition to working on the vines, we have been bottling wines and making summer plans.  We are tucking shoots under the wires...its a never-ending process!

    Out of respect for no large party requirements due to COVID 19, we cancelled our scheduled June 13 Spring Party. All is not lost however. We have made plans for smaller gatherings in the vineyard where we can be distant but together. We have worked out a process for product sampling with minimal human contact required.     Bookshelf Wines Mardi Gras
    News from New Orleans…we were so pleased that our wines did well at the first New Orleans International Wine Competition held in late November.  Dichotomy (2017 white pinot noir) was awarded a gold medal and our 2016 Zinfandel earned a Bronze.  What was even more exciting than the awards was that our wines were poured at the four Grand Dames restaurants in the French Quarter the night after the competition ended.
